Mount Kisco is a community that is both a village and a town in Westchester County, New York. The Town of Mount Kisco is coterminous with the village. Located 36 miles north of Manhattan, Mount Kisco’s 10,000 residents are spread across three square miles of verdant, suburban streets. The population was 10,877 at the 2010 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.1 square miles, all of it land.
A mini-metropolis in the heart of horse country, Mount Kisco is the shopping and dining Mecca for Northern Westchester. Retail giants coexist with one-of-a-kind boutiques and specialty shops. Dining options are equally varied with more than 40 restaurants: Indian, Mexican, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Chinese, and lots of New American. Housing is varied, too, with a variety of condos and single-family homes ranging from tiny bungalows to sprawling mansions tucked away in the wooded areas above the town.
Known for its diverse shopping and dining options, Mt. Kisco is a thriving hub located at the halfway point between the Hudson River and the Connecticut border.
The commute from Grand Central to Mount Kisco takes about 55 minutes during peak hours.
